So I bought me some patches...

I bought some patches while we were at Comic-Con.  This was going to be my big purchase of the day.
I purchased this Disney one:
I think this is my new mantra.
Also purchased these:
And this one:
And these two:
Patches are awesome, because you can take a perfectly normal pair of jeans, sew a geeky Lost-related patch onto them and BAM! Dharma pants!  Seriously, I had sewn a Las Vegas patch onto the back of a pair of jeans I had purchased from Express, and I used to get all sorts of compliments on them from other girls who wanted a pair.  The conversations usually went as follows:
GIRL
I love your jeans!  Did you get them in Vegas?
ME
Thanks!  No, I bought them at Express.
GIRL
Oh.  Do they sell Vegas Jeans there?
ME
...?...
So, yeah, patches are fun.

Eh?

How about that!  I finally figured out how to do  new template on here!  It's a little bright, so I'm not sure if this will be the permanent look of my page.  Plus, it appears as though I can't add as many elements to my page with this setup.  But I bet I can figure it out.  Anyway, the point was to see if I could change the look of my page, and it turns out I can!  For anyone interested, I got this layout from a site called Final Sense.

Update: I changed it, again!  I like this layout better, so we'll stick with this one for a little bit.  I think what was preventing me from uploading a new layout before was Blogspot was experiencing some technical issues involving spam.  I might still play around with these, though.  The pictures look kind of faded on here, now.  Also, in case you couldn't tell, this layout is from Pyzam.

Heads up.

So, I'm going to try a new layout for this blog, mostly because I'm bored. I'm using the site Pyzam because they have lots of templates to chose from. If this works, I might change my background every so often, until I find something I like. The only problem seems to be that when I load a new template and then try to preview it, Blogspot won't let me. The instructions on Pyzam don't say anything about being able to preview it, nor is there a page to ask for help on their site. So if this doesn't work and everything goes away on my page, rest assured I'll get things back up. Eventually. Maybe like Sunday, because I have to work both jobs tomorrow.
So here's hoping!

Dharma wants me?

We finally found the Dharma booth! Now, if you don't know, I am a Lost geek.  The episode that did it for me was the third episode of the first season.  The moment they revealed that the wheelchair had belonged to Locke, I cried tears of astonishment and fell in love with their storytelling.

Anywho, we went up to the booth and discovered that the morning testing was all full up, and they'd be making appointments again at 1:00pm.

In my mind, weeks before we went to Comic-Con, I had pictured an area with about six little tables to take the test, instead, they only had one booth that could only be used by one person every 15 minutes.  Before we left, A gentleman handed me a flier.

Here's the back.  Look, an origami swan.  I guess an origami hydra would've been too much to hope for.

So we wandered around some more.

Toys!

Once we got inside, my friend (who we'll call "B") and I sat down and looked at our programs to see what we would do.  After planning things out as best as we could, the first thing we decided to do was wander around.
The first floor was insanely packed!  Near the center of the room were the booths devoted to film, television and toys!  The Lego booth featured characters entirely made of legos, including Indy!
The Mattel booth had many things for He-Man, including this giant walk-through of Castle Greyskull.
No She-Ra, though :(

Pretty goes to Comic-Con.

On Thursday, July 24th, my friend (who we'll call "B") and I decided to go to Comic-Con.  Here is the convention Center:

And this is the line we stood in to get in:

More to come, once I figure out what I'm doing.
